This article outlines the abilities and technical requirements for the 365 Dining Tablet.

Overview

The 365 Dining Handheld tablet is your solution for maximizing order throughput and enhancing the customer experience. This mobile cashier tablet integrates with your existing 365 dining technology, empowering your team to take orders on the move and keep lines flowing, even when space is at a premium. The device can:

How to Setup the Tablet

 

User Experience

Please note: While the 365Dining Cashier Service is the basis for the 365 Dining Handheld service flow, it does differ in some ways. See the below functions and services:
 

Checking out a Customer

  1. Touch the Menu button in top row (Deli, Grill, etc.).

  1. Select the item(s) to add to the order.
     
  2. Select Pay at the bottom, left to go to the Payment screen,

OR

Select the X next to Pay button to park or cancel the order.

 

Parking or Cancelling an Order

Select the X next to the green Pay button and this popup message will display: "Would like to Park the sale?"

  • Select Yes, Park It! to move the order to the list of open orders so the consumer can pay later.
  • Select Nope to cancel the order. The menu will display again.
     
  1. To Unpark the order, click the Admin tab.  
     
  2. Select Sales History from the drop-down menu.
     
  3. Choose the Open tab.
     
  4. Select the order.
     
  5. Choose Delete to remove the order.
     
  6. Choose Unpark to move to the cart and either add more items or continue to payment.
    • Note: Any Open unpaid orders (Parked) will be cleared every night.
       

Voiding Same Day Transactions

The Sales History will show you Open and Closed orders. Managers can use this screen to complete a void for a same-day transaction.

  1. Select Sales History from the System Menu.

  2. An Open tab and a Closed tab will be displayed at the top of the screen.
    • The Open tab shows open orders.
    • The Closed tab shows orders that have been completed.

  3. Select the Closed tab to view closed transactions. 
     
  4. Select the desired transaction from the Closed tab.

  5. Click ADJUST.
     
  6. With the transaction selected, the Manager can select PROCESS VOID.

    Note: Only those with an Employee Type of Manager, which can be set in ADM (Admin tab > Staff), can select this button. Managers can edit existing Staff accounts or create new Staff accounts in ADM. See ADM – How to Create a Staff.

Fund Market Account

The Fund Market Account option should be used if a consumer wants to add funds to their market account at the ReadyTouch device.

  1. Select Fund Market Account from the System Menu.
     
  2. The consumer can then scan their Market Card or QR code for their account.

  3. The Cashier will then complete the funding process using Credit or a Gift Card, but may not use cash.

 

Logout vs. End Shift

  1. From the System Menu, you will see a Logout option and an End Shift option.
    • Logout – Logs you out of the Point-of-Sale but does NOT log you out of the Cash Drawer.
    • End Shift – Logs you out of the Point-of-Sale AND the Cash Drawer. This should be used to close out at the end of your shift.
       
  2. Choose the desired action.

  3. When you choose either Logout or End Shift, the Enter PIN screen will display.

Exceptions

Please note: 365 Dining Handheld does not support the following:

  • Switching between Self Service and Cashier Service.  The Tablet is automatically configured as Cashier Service only.
     
  • Receipts
     
  • Cash Drawer Management
     
  • Cash Payments
     
  • Cash Reloads 
     

Reporting

Please see our ADM - Reports section for more information on specific reports. Currently, the following reports provide information related to transactions completed by the tablet:
