Purpose
The purpose of this article is to outline how to test peripherals on V5 kiosks. If you are unsure of how to find your Login PIN, please visit the Driver Login Screen and Exit Screen Feature article for instructions.
Process
Method 1: Driver Menu
- Please enter your PIN into the Driver Login or follow the prior link for instructions.
- Tap Relaunch Kiosk Setup App.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Test Devices.
- Select the devices you would like to test. Then tap Begin Testing.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the test.
- Once you are satisfied with testing the peripheral, press Skip to move on to the next one.
- Once testing is complete, tap Start Kiosk to load the Point of Sale.
The second method will require a technician to have a keyboard on-site and access to the Operator account before testing peripherals. If you are unsure of the Operator account password, please contact 365 Support at 888-365-6282.
Method 2: Operator Account
- Connect a USB keyboard to the kiosk. Tap the screen with your finger.
- Press CTRL+ALT+DEL on the keyboard and select Log Out on the screen.
- Login to the Operator Account.
- If the Point of Sale is displaying, you can close the software by pressing Alt+F4 simultaneously. The Desktop will then display.
- Double-tap the Setup icon on the Desktop.
6. Tap Test Devices.
7. Select the devices you would like to test. Then tap Begin Testing.
8. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the test.
9. Once you are satisfied with testing the peripheral, press Skip to move on to the next one.
10. Once testing is complete, tap Start Kiosk to load the Point of Sale.
