Navigating the Meal Planning Dashboard

Purpose

This article walks through how to navigate the Meal Planning Dashboard.

Process

Calendar

  • If there is not an active meal plan in place: the dates in the calendar show in red, and the center and the righthand side of the Dashboard show up blank. 

  • If there is an active meal plan in place: the selected date is circled, and everything in the Dashboard is relevant to what is being served that day.

Create, Edit, or Copy a Meal Plan

The ability to create, edit, or copy a meal plan are all accessible at the bottom of the screen.

Click:

  • + New meal plan to create a new meal plan. Please visit the How to Create a Meal Plan Guide for more details.

  • Copy for new meal plan to copy a meal plan.

  • Edit meal plan to edit the highlighted meal plan.

Access the HelpCenter

To access the HelpCenter from the Meal Planning Dashboard, simply click on your Profile in the upper-right, then click HelpCenter from the resulting dropdown.

Active Meal Plan Details

The Details section in the middle of the Dashboard shows the Details for the highlighted Active Meal Plan.

Here you can:

  • Cycle between Full Day and different meal services (ie. Breakfast, Lunch).

  • Cycle between Basic View (words on a page icon) and Extended View (more words on a page icon).

  • Print the meal plan from the Dashboard by clicking the printer icon. For more information on printing, please visit the Meal Planning Printer Options Guide

  • View and set Produced/Consumed Servings. For more information, please visit the Forecasting and Consumed Servings Guide.

Notes

At the Notes section in the bottom-right of the Dashboard:

  1. Click the Create button to create a new note.

  2. Here, you can type out a note, then click the Delete or Save button to delete or save it accordingly.

Cost

At the Cost section at the righthand side of the Dashboard:

Click the arrows to navigate through the widgets and cycle between Average/Maximum/Minimum, and Full Day/specific meal services (ie. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner).

Costs are set when editing/creating the meal plan. For more information on setting costs, please visit the Forecasting and Consumed Servings Guide.

Nutrition and Targets

At the Nutrition and Targets section at the top of the Dashboard:

Click the arrows to navigate through the widget and cycle between Average/Maximum/Minimum, and Full Day/specific meal services (ie. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner).

Nutrition and targets are set when creating/editing the meal plan. For more information on setting costs, please visit the Forecasting and Consumed Servings Guide.

Number of Diners

At the Number of Diners section in the top-right of the Dashboard:

  1. Click the Edit button to edit the number of diners (number of people that they are serving within one day).

  2. Here, you can click the Save no. of diners button to set the number of diners reflected in the Dashboard, or click Cancel to return to the Dashboard without making changes.

    1. Number of diners can be set specifically for the date that's selected on the calendar, or all future dates as well.

  3. Once the number of diners are set, that number will now show up in the Number of Diners section of the Dashboard.

Active Meal Plans

The Active Meal Plans section on the lefthand side of the screen shows the meal plan(s) that are currently active.

Click on an Active Meal Plan to highlight it. The information in the Dashboard corresponds to the highlighted active meal plan.

Saved Meal Plans

The Saved Meal Plans section on the lefthand side of the Dashboard shows the meal plans that are saved, meaning they have information saved for them, but are not currently active.

Reports

Click the clipboard icon in the lefthand column to access the Reports screen. For more information on Reports, please visit the Meal Planning Reports Overview.
