OTI 1UF Castles Swap - 10-24 Truss Head Screws

Prerequisites

Gather the correct kit for the kiosk (MM6, MM6 Mini, or Gen 3). Schedule a time with support in order to minimize downtime. The kiosk must be online to complete this replacement.

If replacing an OTI reader on a Gen3, check a few things first, as not all Gen3s are compatible.

  1. If the kiosk has an RV110 router, please replace it with a Meraki router. Inform support of this change so they can complete the required work on the backend for the kiosk.
    1. If replacing the router with a Meraki, update the local network team with the new network requirements. They can be acquired from the article, Network Requirements - US/Canada - V5 MicroMarket Kiosks.

  2. Kiosks with an IDtech reader, or that previously had one, cannot upgrade to a Castle reader.

  3. Check bezel compatibility by opening the kiosk and inspecting the OTI reader's mounting area. If it has more than 4 mounting screw holes or does not have a single oval opening, the kiosk is incompatible.

Refer to the appropriate section based on the kiosk model.
