Purpose

This article contains all of the most frequently asked questions with regards to the new Add-On Ambient Vision cabinet component for PicoCooler Vision.

Process

Setup and Configuration

  1. How many shelves does the Add-On Ambient Vision cabinet have? 
    The Standard Body Ambient Vision and PicoCooler Vision have 5 shelves each. The Wide Body Ambient Vision+ has 6 shelves.

  2. Can I change the location of the shelves? 
    Yes, the shelves can be adjusted within reason.

  3. Can I store any product in the shelves? 
    The minimum product size must be 4 inches x 2 inches. There is no limitation on how large the product may be. Smaller products must be stored on the upper shelves.

  4. Can I add more shelves to the Add-On Ambient Vision cabinet? 
    No, adding additional shelves is not permitted because smaller shelves mean smaller items, which can deteriorate receipt accuracy.

  5. How long does it take to install the Add-On Ambient Vision cabinet with a PicoCooler Vision? 
    Using the provided instructions for installation, the Add-On Ambient Vision can be connected to the PicoCooler Vision in 15-30 minutes. Alternatively, you can contact your Customer Service Account Representative to have a 365-technician install it for a fee.

  6. How can I make sure that the Add-On Ambient Vision cabinet is ready for use?
    The add-on cabinet must be deployed to a location by 365 before it is operational. There is a QR code that is included in the package that links to the Stockwell Location Deployment form that will need to be filled out.

Operation

  1. What happens if the cooler goes into lockout mode? 
    If the cooler goes into lockout mode, the system will follow the same behavior as the Stockwell 2.0, not allowing the consumer to pre-auth and start a transaction. The customer will not be able to operate either cabinet if the cooler is temperature locked-out.

Consumer Journey

  1. Does the customer need to hold one door open before closing the other? 
    The consumer can open and close either door multiple times as long as one door is open. The consumer can also open both doors simultaneously. Additionally, there is a 3 second period within which the user can reopen the door(s) if both doors are closed. The transaction ends when both doors are closed for 3 seconds.

Reporting and Management

  1. How do I manage planograms for the Add-On Ambient Vision cabinet?
    The same way as you manage them for PicoCooler Vision or Stockwell. Once upgraded, the planogram link in ADM will connect to a planogram with the ambient cabinet and cooler side. The existing cooler items will be carried over.
