MarketSight - Operator Guide

Purpose

This article outlines the abilities and technical requirements for MarketSight for MM6 Mini.

Process

MarketSight is a loss prevention solution for MM6Mini that monitors consumer behavior in front of the kiosk to ensure every product in the consumer’s hand is scanned correctly.

This feature is not turned on by default. Please contact 365Support via live chat, at (888) 365-6282 or support@365smartshop.com to have this feature enabled.

 

Customer Experience

If MarketSight is enabled on a device and appropriate hardware is installed, customer will experience the following:

  1. Search for or scan the product they would like to purchase.

  2. To complete payment, users need to select payment type by pressing the button. Note: QuickPay is not enabled with MarketSight.

  3. After selecting payment method, one of two options will display.
    1. No Un-scanned items detected: If the user has scanned all items, MarketSight will not prompt any extra steps for the user. They can simply complete the purchase as normal.

    2. Un-Scanned items detected: If MarketSight identifies items that the user may have forgotten to scan or attempted to scan unsuccessfully, then a UI modal prompt will appear.

  4. Users can select one of two options
    1. Scan missed items.
      1. User will then be prompted to scan missing items that will be pictured in the modal pop-up.

      2. Once users scan all items, they can proceed with completing the transaction.

    2. I’ve scanned all items.
       
      1. If the user has already scanned all items they intend to purchase, they can simply select this button and proceed with completing the transaction.

  5. If a user selects I’ve scanned all items or does NOT scan all items identified as missing an under-ringing report will be generated.

Reporting

In ADM, a Loss Prevention Report will capture any transaction identified for under-ringing.
This report will capture a front facing image of the user as well as capturing images of the unscanned item(s).

MarketSight Modes

MarketSight supports various modes that augment the user experience on kiosk.
These modes can only be enabled by 365, so for any changes please contact 365Support

When Market Sight is enabled, there are four different mode options.

ADM - MarketSight Mode Options

Off 

This option will completely turn off Under-Ringing Loss Prevention, even when the device is equipped with the Market Sight Kit.

ADM - MarketSight Off

Monitor

This option will turn on the Under-ringing Loss Prevention feature at the device. However, the UI modal pop-up prompt for users, when they have not scanned items, will not display. The purpose of this mode is to monitor under-ringing activity without introducing friction for the user.

Important: When enabling MarketSight for a location, Monitor should be enabled by default unless otherwise specified.

ADM - MarketSight Monitor No Images

Include images should be set to No.

Display

This option will turn on the Under-Ringing Loss Prevention feature at the device. It will also turn on the Did you miss scanning? UI modal pop-up that will prompt users to scan additional items they may have missed.

 

ADM - MarketSight Display No Images

Include images should be set to Yes.

Enforce

This option will be grayed-out and un-selectable at this time. This will be released in a future development and will allow Operators to enforce that users scan additional items, otherwise they cannot proceed with transaction.
