Purchase Order Wallet Management on Back Office
Updated

Introduction

The Purchase Order Wallet is useful for Customers that are selected to Pay by Account. Below we will discuss what this is, and how to best use the PO Wallet to make Account Payment checkout easier.

Set Up PO Field

Note: You will need Setup Access to view information in this section.

Go to Setup > Organization > Order Requirements. Here, you can edit how you want customers to enter Purchase Order data. To enable this feature, check the box that says "Allow Customers to Provide Fields for Purchase Order (Online)."

If you want the PO name to appear as something else, type it into the box labeled "Enable PO Number Rename."

All three payment options will show the option to input a Purchase Order number unless you check "Hide" near that payment option. If you'd like to require a PO number before a customer can check out, check the box "Required."

Turn on PO Field for a Customer

To add the Purchase Order or By Account payment option at checkout for a Customer, you must have "Payment By Account" selected in the Customer's Account Information in the Back Office.

Some accounts have enabled Payment By Account to automatically apply to a Customer that registers with Spoonfed. If you want to enable this feature, reach out to a Customer Success Specialist for assistance.

PO Field in an Order

When adding a new order, you can select previously saved Purchase Order numbers. That will be shown under Payment Method. Typically, you only need to enter a PO number for orders that are being paid On Account.

Click the box next to what will be listed as Purchase Order, Cost Center, or whatever name you have chosen to call this field. Here you can select a pre-saved PO number. To add a new number, select the orange plus button near the drop down box.

Manage Contact PO Wallet

Go to the Customer Module. Select the customer you need to edit. Find their Contact Tab. Select View/Edit on the Contact you need to view.

Scroll down to find the PO Wallet. Here you can view all PO numbers saved under this Contact. You can remove them and add new numbers. Your customer can manage their PO Wallet in their online profile.
