Impulsify - Reconfiguring a Hand-Held Scanner

Purpose

This article provides troubleshooting steps for front desk staff to follow when a hand-held scanner is beeping but fails to scan items. Follow these instructions to resolve common issues with scanner functionality.

 

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Unplug the scanner from its current USB port and plug it into a different USB slot on the same computer.

  2. If the issue persists, locate the scanner configuration UPC code provided by Impulsify.

  3. Copy the configuration UPC image into a document and print it out.

  4. Use the hand-held scanner to scan the printed UPC code. This should reconfigure the scanner.
