Purpose
This article instructs vending machine operators on how to deactivate an AVLive device. Deactivating your device means that you will not be charged the monthly fee for this device, and the card reader will be disabled.
Reactivation can be done at any time.
Process
- Locate the device ID of the device you want to deactivate. This is available in AVLive on the Machines page (listed in the Device ID column), or it can be found on a sticker on the back of the device.
- For example, a PicoVend device ID will begin with 000572 or 000562. You may also have an older AirVend device with a 16-digit alpha numeric device ID.

- Email the AV Onboarding team at AVOnboarding@365smartshop.com to request a Device Deactivation Form. You may deactivate multiple devices with just one form.
- Once you have submitted the form, the AV Support Team will send you an email when the device has been officially deactivated. Please note that we require 3-5 business days to fully process this request.
Final Deactivation Process
For devices that will not be reactivated in the future, the SIM Cards must be returned to us for final deactivation.
- Remove the SIM cards from the devices
- Note down the serial numbers of the SIM cards to be deactivated
- Prepare the SIM cards for shipping, taking note of the dimensions and weight of the package
- Send the list of SIM Card serial numbers, along with the packaging information, to your Account Representative. They will then send you a FedEx return label for the package.
- If you are sending multiple packages, please document the content of each package.
