Purpose
This article describes the setup and basic operation of the PicoCooler Vision.
This vertical smart cooler is part of the Vision Smart Stores product line, and provides the same great services with a smaller footprint.
In this article you will:
- Gain a better understanding of the hardware and software features.
- Provision the Pico to your location.
- Mount the Pico device to the cooler.
- Initialize the system.
- Set up your planogram and schema, then stock the PicoCooler Vision.
- Perform a test unlock.
Hardware
The PicoCooler Vision offers:
- an upright Minus Forty Cooler
- 5 cooler shelves
- 5 cameras
- a 5" touchscreen
- a 4G LTE cellular connection

The PicoCooler Vision does not offer offline functionality.
Process
Provisioning Process
This device does not currently support Self Provisioning. Please submit a location deployment request via the 365 Vision Smart Store Deployment Request form to have your device provisioned.
This request will take 3 to 5 business days to be processed. After it has been processed, you may then continue with the setup steps below.

System Initialization
The PicoCooler Vision will be configured for your location before shipment. Follow these steps to complete the rest of the setup process.

Plug in the PicoCooler Vision unit. Allow the store 4–6 minutes to boot up.

After the device is booted up, you will see an error saying Cooler Safety checks have failed. This is normal, and is part of the process. To clear this error, hold the downward facing arrow button located below the screen for 5 seconds. You will see three dashes ("---") on the screen when the error has been cleared.
Stocking the PicoCooler Vision
Planogram Access and Creation
- Log into ADM.
- Select the name of the location you would like to edit.
- The Location Summary page will now appear. From here, select the name of the device you would like to edit.
- The Device Summary page will now display. Select the Stockwell Planogram button.
- You will now be taken to your schema for this device. Select the Staging button on the resulting page.
- Select the Clone Production Schema button.
- Now use the search bar to look for items. You may use the product name or product scancode from ADM to find your items. Once you have found an item you would like to have in your smart cooler, click on the name of the item, then drag and drop it to where you want it to be on that shelf.
If you cannot find the products you are looking for, the items may need to be extended to the device's location in ADM. Learn how to extend a product with the article: ADM - Add, Edit, or Extend a Product. - Once your Planogram is all set, select the Save button, then select Migrate to Production.
CV/Stockwell units should only have one item type per row. (one brand, flavor, and packaging type). The schema needs to be an accurate representation of the stock of the unit. Different product types should not be stacked on top of or behind one another. The schema should look like the units store front photo. Inaccurate schemas can cause loss and inventory issues.
Adding Images to your Products & Setting Item Dimensions
Images will need to be linked to any new products the Stockwell website receives from ADM. Below are the steps on how to link images to a product.
- Click the 3-line icon in the top-left on the Stockwell webapp.
- Click Items. When a new item is added into ADM, it will automatically appear in the Stockwell Web App when synced. (See Extending Items to Stockwell from ADM above.) The item sync time can vary depending on the product ingestion queue. You will also want to make sure to press the orange Send Catalog to Stockwell button in ADM under the location summary to push product updates and pico display prices if this step has not already been done previously.

- Click on an item name to see more details. Scroll down to where it says "images".
- Scroll down to where it says "images."
- Upload the image you would like to use for that product. The image can be in .jpeg or .png format. format.
- Uploading the large image will auto populate the medium and small images. The image dimensions in the schema will be changed based on item dimension settings of each individual item. Matching the item dimension settings to the product packaging dimensions and the cropped photo will result in an accurate image in the schema.

Remove.bg is an excellent tool for effortlessly removing image backgrounds, giving your photos a cleaner and more polished appearance.

(Other fields in the section are only from legacy unit settings and can be ignored.) - Select Save in the upper-right corner.
Unlocking the Cooler
The Due North (Minus Forty) PicoCooler can be unlocked via several methods - physical key, the 365Ops application, or the manufacturer's built-in unlocking key combination.
