ADM - Add, Edit, or Extend a Product

Purpose

This article will instruct you on how to create a product in ADM. You may then edit your products, and extend your products to a location. 

 

Process

Navigate to the Global Products List

  1. Login into ADM.

  2. Click the Product tab. Then select Global Products from the drop-down menu.

  3. The Global Products page will display. This page will show you all the products across the locations. 

    By default, you will see the following columns of information for your products: the Product name, the Scancode of the product, the Userkey, the Tax category that the product is in, any other categories the product is in, whether the product has modifiers, the price that is charged to customers for the product, the cost to the organization for the product, and whether the product is enabled

Add a Product

  1. Now that you have navigated to the Global Product List as described above, click the Create New button in the upper-right corner.

  2. There are only three required fields for the new product. However, we strongly suggest entering any and all data that you have related to the product. The required fields are Name, Scancode, and Price.

  3. After you have filled in all required and available information for the product, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save And Extend button.

  4. Select the location(s) where you would like to extend the product. You can manually select the locations, or you can click Select All

  5. When you have selected the location(s) where you want the product to be available, do one of the following:
    • Save and Done: Click this if you are not adding any more products. The Global Products page will display.
    • Save and Next: Click this if you are adding in more products. A blank template for a new product will display.

  6. Run a full sync to make the new product(s) immediately available at the location(s) you have selected. To do so, click the Location tab in the upper-left corner.

  7. A complete list of all your locations will display. Click the desired location name in the Location Name column. The Location Summary page for the selected location will display.

  8. Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will see these four buttons. Click the Update Prices & Full Sync button.

Edit a Product

  1. Now that you have navigated to the Global Product List as described above, enter the name or scancode of the desired product using the Search field in the upper-right corner. As you begin to type, the product list will automatically begin to filter the results. When the product you want to edit displays on the screen, click anywhere in that row to select that product.

  2. The Product Summary page will display for the product you selected. Make the desired changes.

    Some of the edits you can make to your products include, but are not limited to: 
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you will see these two buttons. Click Save. The Global Products page will display afterward.

  4. Run a full sync to make the changes take place immediately at the location(s) you have selected. Click the Location tab in the upper-left corner.

  5. A complete list of all your locations will display. Click the name of the desired location in the Location Name column. The Location Summary page for the selected location will display.

  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will see these four buttons. Click the Update Prices & Full Sync button.

Extend a Product to Location(s)

  1. Now that you have navigated to the Global Product List as described above, enter the name or scancode of the desired product using the Search field in the upper-right corner. As you begin to type, the product list will automatically begin to filter the results. When the product you want to edit displays on the screen, click anywhere in that row.

  2. The Product Summary page will display for the product you selected. Scroll to the bottom and click the Extend button.

  3. A pop-up will display. From this screen, you can adjust the fields shown by clicking into the field and editing it.

    Select the desired location(s) where you want the product to be available. To select more than one location, hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard and click the desired locations at the same time. The locations will be highlighted in blue when they are selected.

    Click Save when you are done.

  4. Run a full sync to make the new product(s) immediately available at the location(s) you have selected. Click the Location tab in the upper-left corner.

  5. A complete list of all your locations will display. Click the name of the desired location in the Location Name column. The Location Summary page for the selected location will display.
