The MM6 Mini

Setup Requirements

Whether you have all or only some of the modules, an MM6 setup will require the following:

  • One outlet - 120VAC 3-prong grounded outlet (15-amp service)
  • One RJ45 wired Ethernet jack

Installation

You can select from two different installation options: Countertop installation or Wall Mounted installation. If you have any questions or run into any issues, please contact Support at (888) 365-6282 or support@365smartshop.com.

Tools Required

  • 8th-inch hex wrench
  • 7/16th inch combination wrench
  • 3/8" drill bit and drill (not pictured)
  • Wall mounting bracket (optional)
A Hex wrench and Combination wrench side by side

Option 1: Countertop Installation

  1. Carefully unpack the MM6 Mini kiosk. Be sure not to lose any mounting hardware or accessories included in the packaging box. Please stop and contact us immediately if you find any damage caused by shipping.

    Counter Space Requirements:

    • 10.5" wide
    • 9.5" deep
    • 25.5" tall
    • Able to support 30 lbs

  2. Place the Countertop Installation Template guide on the counter of the desired location and secure it with tape. This installation guide is included in the paperwork that comes with the MM6Mini, and is available for download in the attachments to this article.

  3. Use a 3/8" drill bit to drill 2 holes in the marked locations.

  4. It is recommended that you remove the four rubber feet from the underside of the stand, in order for it to sit flush against the countertop.

  5. Attach the device to the countertop using one of the following methods:

    • Bolted Connection (suggested method): place the unit in its desired location and insert the supplied carriage bolts through the square holes. Secure the bolt from the underside of the countertop with washers and nuts.

    • Wood Screws: place the unit in the desired location and drive the screws through the base holes using a drill driver.

  6. Power on the MM6 Mini by connecting it to a 120VAC 3-prong grounded outlet. The MM6 Mini will then boot up and automatically start the Point of Sale (POS) software. The Meraki will also power up when you start the kiosk. Plug in the provided ethernet cable to an access point.

Option 2: Wall-Mounted Installation

Contact your sales representative if you are interested in purchasing a wall mount. This is an add-on for your MM6Mini, and must be purchased from 365 Retail Markets directly.

  1. Carefully unpack the MM6 Mini kiosk and mounting bracket. Be sure not to lose any mounting hardware or accessories included in the packaging boxes. Please stop and contact us immediately if you find any damage caused by shipping.

  2. Remove the countertop stand by placing the device on its side, then remove the six nuts that secure the base to the device.

  3. Select the location of the device. When choosing your location, it is highly recommended that you anchor at least 2 of the 4 fasteners into a stud or other securing framing member to prevent damage to the kiosk. It is the responsibility of the installer to verify that the wall can support 65lbs (the combined weight of the MM6 mini and the mounting bracket) and that the correct hardware is used for mounting.

  4. Place the Wall Mount Installation Template guide on the wall in the desired location and secure it with tape. This installation guide is included in the paperwork that comes with the MM6Mini, and is available for download in the attachments to this article.

  5. Drill the appropriate holes, then remove the drill guide. Secure the mount to the wall using wall anchors suitable for your wall type (not included).

  6. Attach the four included fasteners to the wall mount bracket via the four holes, as shown in the photo below.

  7. Slide the kiosk downward into place on the wall mount. The hanging tabs at the top of the mounting bracket will engage with the two slots at the top of the device, providing a secure connection.

    • To remove the kiosk from the wall mount, disengage the hanging tabs and carefully lift the device upwards until it is free of the four fasteners

  8. Power on the MM6 Mini by connecting to a 120VAC 3-prong grounded outlet. The MM6 Mini will boot up and then automatically start the POS (Point of Sale) software. The Meraki powers up when you start the kiosk. Plug in the provided ethernet cable to an access point.

Always Power Down Before Unplugging the Kiosk

The socket outlet should be installed near the equipment and should be easily accessible (cord-connected units only).

To Power down the Kiosk:

  • Open the kiosk

  • Power down the PC by pressing the power button

  • Remove the power cord from the wall socket
