KDS - Troubleshooting - How to Restart a KDS Monitor


The purpose of this article is to explain the process on how to manually restart a KDS Monitor if the screen is frozen or not showing orders.

  1. Locate the KDS monitor in question.

  2. Hold down the power button on the PC on the bottom of the Monitor until the screen goes dark or shows no signal.

  3. Then press the power button once and the PC will begin to boot back up and will return to the appropriate designated screen.

  4. Now try a test order to see if orders are now getting to the KDS Monitor properly.
