Purpose

The purpose of this article is to externally store config files and guides for the TechFriends related clients using LightSpeed services. Please see the attached .zip file in the Table of Contents.

The step-by-step instructions are also laid out under the Process section below.
 

Overview

AutoCredits is an extra paid module. After picking has been completed, this Feature allows LightSpeed to send Credits back to TechFriends for out of stock items on inmate orders. 

Please note: If the Client hasn't already settled payment with Sales, they will need to do so before configuration of the tool can begin.
 

Process

Requirement: LightSpeed version 3.4.10.9 or later.
 

Create the Directories

Run the batch file to create the directories and copy the file.
 

Configure the LsProvider Config File

1. Navigate to LsProvider.
    
2. Right-click LsProviderControl.exe and select Edit.
    
3. Verify in 2 locations that the Config file has LightSpeed Resources embedded. If not, the configs will need to be added.

      If the config is missing, copy and paste the following into the highlighted area.

Set Up the Script

1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\LightSpeed\Scripts.
   
2. Right-click copy_techfriends_credit_files.ps1 and select Edit.
    
3. Update the TechFriends server IP address and login credentials.
   
4. Save and close out.
    
5. Run the script as an administrator.
    

Import the Task

1. Select Start and search for Task Scheduler.
   
2. Right-click Task Scheduler Library and select Import Task.
   
3. In the file picker, open Downloads > TechFriends Automated > Task Scheduler and select LightSpeed - Send Files to TechFriends.xml.
   
4. Select OK in the task creation dialog.
   
5. Confirm that the task has been added.
   

Set Up Configure the Provider Source

1. Log in to the Admin Portal.
    
2. Select Configure Provider Source.
    
3. Enter C:\TechFriends_Credit_Files in the Credits File Directory field.
   
4. Select Save.
