Socket Hand Held Scanner

IF YOUR SCANNER WILL NOT PAIR WITH A DEVICE, PLEASE TRY RESETTING IT

Factory Reset 

Scan the below barcode, It is also found in the quick start guide. 

Or you can have them do the following with the buttons. 

1.Please remove/delete/unpair the CHS device from your bluetooth settings on your device.

2.Do both resets below:

Factory Reset
Reverts CHS back to factory default state. 

1. Power on CHS.
2. Press and hold down the Trigger button and  press the Power button once while still holding down the Trigger button.
3. After 15 seconds, the scanner will beep. Release the Trigger button.
4. The scanner will beep 5 times and power off.
5. The next time you power on the scanner, it will take longer than normal. After the scanner finishes powering on, it will have factory default settings.

Pairing Reset
Releases the Bluetooth pairing from the last system the CHS was paired to. This allows new pairing to another system.

1. Power on CHS.
2. Press and hold down the Trigger button and the Power button at the same until you hear a series of 3 beeps.
3. Turn your scanner on and go to your bluetooth settings on your device to pair. 

Once you have paired, please test in word/notes to see if you are able to successfully scan.

Socket Scanner for iOS

According to Socket, you are to pair the scanner to your iOS device without scanning any config barcodes.
If a barcode was scanned, do a reset then pair again.

Tablet

Factory Data Reset

1. Press and hold the Power key, tap Power off, and then tap OK.
2. Press and hold the Power key, Home key and Up Volume key at the same time.
3. Release all of the keys when the Android image appears.
4. Press the Up Volume key to select wipe data / factory reset.
   
5. Press the Power key.
6. Press the Down Volume key to scroll to Yes – delete all user data.
7. Press the Power key.
8. Wait for Data wipe complete to appear.
9. Press the Power key to move the cursor to Reboot system now.
10. The device shuts down, restarts, and takes you to the startup menu.
