PicoCooler/PicoMarket - Locating MAC Address & Setting Static IP

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to outline the process for Locating MAC addresses, and Setting Static IP's on PicoCooler and PicoMarket devices.
 

Process

Locating MAC (WiFi)

  1. On the Pico device, navigate to the Driver Menu by tapping the top left of the screen 5 times in quick succession.
     
  2. Enter the applicable Driver PIN, or login via ADM email.
     
  3. Tap Start Setup App.
     
  4. Tap Setup Network.

  5. Tap WiFi.
    • Make sure to tap WiFi regardless of the connection type the Pico device is currently utilizing. (We are not going to complete the network setup.)

  6. On the next screen, the device may say it is already connected to an SSID. Tap Next.

  7. Tap the Cogwheel at the top right of the screen.

  8. The MAC address is located near the middle of the Configure Wi-Fi screen. (See the below image for the exact location.)

Locating MAC (Ethernet)

  1. On the Pico device, navigate to the Driver Menu by tapping the top left of the screen 5 times in quick succession.
     
  2. Enter the applicable Driver PIN, or login via ADM email.
     
  3. Tap Start Setup App.
     
  4. Tap Setup Network.

  5. Tap Ethernet. Make sure to tap Ethernet regardless of the connection type the Pico device is currently utilizing. 
    (We are not going to complete the network setup.)

  6. On the next screen, turn ethernet on and select the Ethernet configuration option on the screen.

  7. Select DHCP on connection type. The MAC address will display under the IP address field. (See the below image for the exact location.)

Setting Static IP

Setting a static IP is sometimes necessary when connecting to a Local Network. 
It can be set through either WiFi or Ethernet, and should not be needed when connecting through a cellular connection.
 

WiFi

  1. On the PicoCooler or PicoMarket device, navigate to the Setup App.
     
  2. Tap Setup Network.

  3. Tap WiFi.

  4. Tap Next.

  5. Press and Hold on the name of the desired Network.

  6. Tap Modify Network.

  7. Tap Advanced Options, then scroll down to IP settings.

  8. Tap DHCP and select Static.

  9. Enter the desired IP address, Gateway, and DNS Settings that were retrieved from the Network Administrator on-site. 
    1. If the connection is already Static, document the existing values before making any changes.

  10. Tap Save.
     

Ethernet

Ethernet configuration is only available to PicoMarket and PicoMarket+ systems.

  1. Navigate to the Setup App.
     
  2. Tap Setup Network.

  4. Make sure Ethernet is toggled on, then tap Ethernet configuration.

  5. Enter the desired IP address, Gateway, and DNS Settings that were retrieved from the Network Administrator onsite.
    1. If the connection is already Static, document the existing values before making any changes.

  6. Tap Save.
