Overview
Some networks have security protocols setup to require the MAC Address from PicoVends and the use of Static IP addresses. This article will provide steps on locating the MAC address on a PicoVend as well as setting a Static IP address for a PicoVend using WiFi or setting a Static IP address for a PicoVend using Ethernet.
Locate MAC Address
- On the PicoVend, navigate to the Admin login page and log in with operator credentials.
- Tap WI-FI.
- Tap the settings cog at the top right.
- The MAC address and IP address for the PicoVend will be listed at the bottom of the screen.
Set Static IP
The subsections below will go over setting a Static IP for the follow network connectivity methods:
WiFi Connection
- On the PicoVend, navigate to the Admin login page and log in with operator credentials.
- Tap WI-FI.
- Press and hold on the name of the desired network.
- Tap Modify network.
- Tap Advanced options, then scroll down to IP settings.
- Tap on DHCP and select Static.
- Enter the desired IP Address, Gateway, and DNS settings.
NOTE: This info should be provided by the network administrator. - Tap Save.
Ethernet Connection
- On the PicoVend, navigate to the Admin login page and log in with operator credentials.
- Tap WI-FI.
- Tap the top left menu icon.
- Tap Ethernet.
- Make sure Ethernet is toggled on, then tap Ethernet configuration.
- Select Static IP, then enter the desired IP Address, Gateway, and DNS settings.
