365 Catering (Spoonfed) - Item Limits
Updated

Purpose

This article walks through the Item Limits feature. Item Limits allow the Caterer to set minimum and maximum quantities of a particular menu item that a Customer can put in for an order, as well as Daily Limits for the day.

Process

Item limits are limited by the menu, not the item itself. This feature is set up in the Menu module of the Back Office.

Setup/Configuration

  1. Navigate to the Menu module in the Back Office.

  4. To set item limits for the desired menu item, configure the following fields:
    1. Min Qty: This field sets the minimum quantity of the item that a Customer can put in for the order.
    2. Max Qty: This field sets the maximum quantity of the item that a Customer can put in for the order.
    3. Daily Limit: This field sets the maximum quantity of the item that can be ordered in a day. (I.e. We make a certain amount of this type of baked goods in a day. After that, we're out of stock and cut off ordering.)

  6. Repeat the process for other menu items if needed.

Consumer Journey

Once Item Limits are set up and configured, they will then apply to the Customer when they go to put in an order. When the Customer goes to order an item with item limits set, it will display the Min and/or Max quantity of the menu item where applicable.

In the example below, the Customer starts an order for sparkling water. In this case, the sparkling water was set up to have a max qty of 10, so it'll tell the customer that there's a water limit of 10, and if they try to order more than 10, it will not let them.
