Overview
The Best Vendors (BV) integration is a data feed between 365 Retail Markets and Canteen One, who manages the BV data. When enabled, this data feed communicates sales information from 365 to Canteen One so they can perform their necessary reporting.
Traditionally, 365 has had to enable this integration for both the Org and Location level for this data feed to work. With an enhancement in rel-211008, Operators will now have the ability to enable the BV integration at the Location level, thus no longer needing to rely on 365. The BV integration is typically enabled for National Account locations.
There are some additional considerations to keep in mind related to this enhancement. They are as follows:
- Only users with an ADM user role of Operator will see the Enable VDI field in the Info section of the Location Summary. See ADM How to Create User Accounts for instructions on managing user roles.
- Best Vendors must be enabled at the Org level before it can be enabled at the Location level. 365 has to enable the integration at the Org level.
- This will allow operators to enable only the Best Vendors VDI integration at the Location level. All other VDI integrations must still be enabled by 365 at both the Org and Location level.
- The Best Vendors integration can also be disabled at the location level by the Operator.
Enable Best Vendors Integration at Location Level
