Overview

The Device Summary page in ADM allows operators and 365 employees to view and edit features related to the specific device chosen. This article explains the fields that operators use in the Info section of the Device Summary.

Accessing the Device Summary Screen

    • If you do not know your password, use the password reset link on the ADM login page. If you have issues resetting the password this way or do not have an ADM account, reach out to your leadership.

  2. From the Location tab, select the location with the device you want to review. The Location Summary screen will display for that location.

  3. Scroll down to the tabs at the bottom of the screen. The Devices tab will be selected by default. From this tab, select click on the serial number listed in the Device Name column.

Device Summary Fields

Operators will use the fields in the Info section on the Device Summary page to edit the functionality of the selected device. The fields shown on this screen will differ depending on the device type (MicroMarket, PicoMarket, PicoCooler, etc.). The subsections below will cover the fields that will display and what they are used for per device.

MicroMarket

Warning: Do NOT click the blue Reboot Device button unless you want to immediately reboot this device at this location!

The fields in the top, left area of the Info section are already populated by default. The remaining fields can be edited as follows:
Image_2_-_ADM_Device_Summary.PNG

  • Scheduled Reboot: Options are Yes and No. When Yes is selected, two new fields will display for you to enter the day of the week and the time you want the reboot to reoccur at.

  • Enable Accessibility: Accessibility Mode requires the accessibility nav bar to be installed on the kiosk and a configuration to be set on the back-end. Options for this field are Yes and No. Default is No.
If you select Yes, the consumer can select the Accessibility Mode button in the bottom right corner of the point of sale screen. A high contrast interface will display that consumers can navigate using the navigation bar installed on the kiosk, or by using the touchscreen. If the kiosk has an alternate language enabled, the consumer can select the Switch to (language) button in the accessibility mode interface. Click HERE to see the accessibility mode point of sale flow.

  • Screen Timeout: This is measured in seconds. Default is 20 seconds.
The screen will timeout if a consumer leaves a market without finishing their transaction. The device will wait a short period of time and then "time out" returning to the Home screen for the next consumer.

  • Receipt Prompt Timeout: This is measured in seconds. Default is 4 seconds.
If the consumer does not choose a receipt option in 4 seconds, the modal will timeout. No receipt will print, and the device will go back to the Home screen.

  • Show Search Btn: Options are Yes, No, and Inherit from Location. Default is Yes.
If set to Yes, a Search button will show on the point of sale. This would allow the end-user to manually type in the name or UPC of a product and select it for checkout instead of scanning the barcode.

  • Webcam On: Options are Yes and No. Default is Yes.
This option enables the webcam that is integrated into the device. The webcam will display a constant stream of live footage in the upper right corner of the point of sale screen. This camera only captures images when a consumer cancels a transaction if the Cancel Report On and Cancel Report Send Img fields are enabled.

  • Cancel Report On: Options are Yes and No. Default is Yes.
If set to Yes, the device will track cancelled events and report them to ADM for the Cancel Report. This includes information such as the items in the cart that was cancelled and the date/time the cancellation occurred. If the Cancel Report Send Img and Webcam On fields are set also set to Yes, the image captured during the cancellation will be sent to the Cancel Report as well.

  • Cancel Report Send Img: Options are Yes and No. Default is Yes.
If set to Yes, the kiosk will take a picture of the consumer when a transaction is cancelled on the device and send that to ADM for the Cancel Report.

  • MM Pin Required: Options are Required and None. Default is Required
If set to Required, consumers must enter their PIN on the device when accessing their account with a scancode or QR code from 365Pay.

  • Disable POS method: This option disables a specific payment method (either account or credit card) so consumers cannot use it to check out. If one of these options is selected, that payment method will not be available on the device. By default both options are unchecked.

  • MM Cursor Visible: Options are None, Yes, and No. Default is None.
If you select Yes, a cursor will show when the consumer taps on the point of sale screen.

  • CC Local Cutoff (Hours): The settings in this option can be inherited from the location.
Use this option to determine the amount of time that devices will accept credit transactions when offline. When set to 0, the device will not accept offline credit transactions at all.

  • MM Cancel Trans Audio: Options are Yes and No. Default is Yes.
If you leave it set to Yes, the kiosk will say “transaction cancelled” through the speakers. This voice will only be in English.

  • Kiosk Screen Saver: Options are Yes and No. Default is No.
If you select Yes, a screen saver will display on the V5 UI after a set period of inactivity. If there is a kiosk with limited use for extended periods of time, the screen saver can automatically initiate on the kiosk to transition to a new screen. If kiosk screen saver is turned off, the Home screen of the point of sale would display consistently

  • Manage Account QR Code: This field will determine if we show the QR code on the Manage Account screen on the point of sale. If this is turned off, then users won't see the QR code that says "scan to setup the app" on the Manage Account screen.

Use this option to determine the amount of time that devices will accept credit transactions when offline. When set to 0, the device will not accept offline credit transactions at all.

  • Pico Device Type: For regular PicoCooler, this field should be set to PicoCooler. This field will NOT impact the point of sale if set incorrectly, but it WILL impact the fields shown on the Device Summary page in ADM. This field is meant to bring visibility to the type of Pico setup the device is in (PicoCooler, PicoMarket, etc.) and adjust ADM fields accordingly.
    • If this field is set to PicoCooler, the Cooler Type, Cooler Access, Auth Amount, and AutoCheckout Enabled fields will be visible in ADM.

  • Cooler Type: The cooler type field should be set to the type of cooler in use. For US/Canada PicoCooler, the options are Minus-40, Cool Blu (AVS), True, FrigoGlass, IDW, and Habco. For international PicoCooler, the only option is Minus-40.

  • Cooler Access: This controls whether or not the consumer needs to present a payment method in order to open the cooler.
    • Controlled Cooler Access
Requires payment method to unlock cooler and charges pre-auth.
    • Open Cooler Access
The cooler remains unlocked - no payment method needs to be presented in order to open cooler. No pre-auth is charged or set.

  • Auth Amount: This field only applies if the cooler is using a controlled (locked) solution (set in the Cooler Access field). The auth amount is the amount a card is charged in order to verify the card is valid in a locked solution. This amount is later reversed. The default pre-authorization amount is $10. This will remain the amount until it is changed during self-provisioning or changed within the Device Summary after provisioning.

  • AutoCheckout Enabled: This field applies if the cooler is using a controlled (locked) solution (set in the Cooler Access field). The functionality, depending on the option chose, is explained below.
    • Yes: If the consumer scans their items and walks away WITHOUT tapping checkout, the cart will time-out and auto-checkout. The consumer will be charged, on the payment method used to unlock the cooler, for the items in their cart.
    • No: If the consumers scans their items and walks away WITHOUT tapping checkout, the cart will time-out and the cart will NOT be checked out. The consumer's payment method that was presented to unlock the cooler will NOT be charged.
