Purpose

The purpose of this article is to outline the process of swapping a IUC285 or Self3000 reader on MM6 or MM6 Mini platforms to a U1F Castle Reader.

Required Tools

• Two - 3 ft Ethernet cables
  
• Castles Reader
  
• Power Splitter Cable
  
• Ethernet Switch
  
• Four - Screws to mount Reader
• Philips Head Screwdriver
  

Process

1. Make sure Kiosk is plugged in and online. 
   
2. Unplug Ingenico and take off of front plate and take out the castle reader.
   
3. There is a power splitter that connects the reader to the screen and powers both, make sure all three ends are connected. 
   
4. Install the 5 port switch and safely secure the Velcro backing to ensure it is mounted to the kiosk. 
    
5. Unplug the ethernet cable from the Kiosk PC and insert it to Port 1, then use the two 3 ft Ethernet cables to plug into the switch and route to the kiosk pc and Castle reader. 
   
   • Use Port 2 for the Kiosk PC and Port 3 for the castle reader. 
     • *You will see light indications on the switch ensuring the devices connected have internet now. 
        
6. Mount the new Castles reader to the kiosk using the new screws. 
   • *The longer screws are required for new reader.
      
7. To get to the IP on screen of the reader, tap top left 4 times, tap bottom left 5 times. 
    
8. Push the settings gear at the bottom of the kiosk screen to show kiosk information and from there, take the IP shown and input it to the reader.
   
9. After installing the reader, call or chat with support to setup static IP on the Meraki router.
