- Provide a 120 V outlet with at least two available sockets.
- Assemble the cooler according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The cooler and rear-mounted Technology Box are powered separately.
Adjust the Support Screw
- Open the cabinet.
- Locate the Support Screw under the door on the bottom-left side.
- Turn the Support Screw clockwise by hand until it no longer turns easily.
The Support Screw secures the door during transport.
Install the Leveling Screws
- Install the four leveling screws, starting with the cooler as level as possible.
- If the door does not close passively, lower the two rear leveling screws using small, equal adjustments.
- Test door operation after each adjustment.
Imbera coolers have auto-closing hinges.
Install the Pico Unit
Disconnect external power before proceeding.
Identify Cable Connections
The cooler door ships with three cables extending from the location where the assembled door unit will be mounted.
The S1U 365 cable provides power to the Pico unit through MDB and controls the door lock through the smaller RS232 cable.
The larger ethernet cable carries data between the Pico unit and the OptConnect network router on the computer box.
- Connect the larger RS232 network cable to the ethernet plug on the rear of the device.
- Connect the 6-pin MDB cable and the thinner RS232 cable to the female plugs on the S1U 365 cable.
- Connect the S1U 365 cable to the top-left multi-pin plug on the rear of the device.
Attach the Door Mounting Bracket
- Close the door.
- Secure the three 10-32 x 7/8-inch screws on the left side of the mounting bracket.
- Secure the two 8-32 x 5/8-inch screws on the right side of the mounting bracket.
The screws on the left side of the mounting bracket support the most weight.
Maintenance
Unlocking Through the Driver Menu
This procedure applies to all firmware versions.
- Tap the top-left corner of the screen five times.
- Enter the driver PIN.
- Tap the green checkmark.
- Tap Unlock.
To lock the door again, tap Lock.
Unlocking During a Power Outage
Any firmware version can use this method to access the cabinet during a power outage.
- Locate the door backup Unlock Button behind the front grill below the cabinet.
- If power is not already on, move the Unlock Button Power Switch to the ON position.
- Press the Unlock Button while pulling on the door.
The Unlock Button is connected to the main power and a backup 9V battery. The battery has a limited number of uses before replacement is required.
A tool inserted between the grill gaps may provide access to the button. If the grill must be removed:
- Remove the Phillips head or 1/4-inch hex screws on either side.
- Push down firmly and evenly on both sides of the top of the grill while pulling the grill toward the operator.
Clear HSA on the Pico
- Tap the top-left corner of the screen five times.
- Enter the account PIN.
- Tap the green checkmark.
- Tap Reset HSA Lockout.
The Reset HSA Lockout button does not appear when the device is not in lockout. During the reset, the unlock and lock buttons are grayed out because the cooler cannot be unlocked until HSA is reset.
Reset HSA from ADM
Remote Reset HSA Lockout function is not turned on by default. For more information on the Remote Reset HSA Lockout and how to have it enabled please reference the article, PicoPlatform/Vision Smart Stores - Remote Reset HSA Lockouts.

- Locate the Reset HSA Lockout button.
- Click Reset HSA Lockout.
- Review the warning popup. Click Agree and Reset.
- A confirmation will appear. Click Okay.
- Wait 5–10 minutes for the status to refresh.
The Reset HSA Lockout button is disabled when the device is not in HSA lockout status.
A confirmation appears after the reset command is sent.
