Purpose
The purpose of this article is to outline the Temperature Sensor Report in ADM. This report helps the Operator monitor current and historical temperatures for supported smart coolers.
Overview
- This report will allow the Operator to review individual cabinets, identify temperature trends, see Health and Safety Alarm (HSA) activity, issue HSA Resets, and export readings for further analysis or compliance records.
- Operator Role users receive access by default. If there is a custom ADM role being used and this option does not display, contact the ADM administrator and ask them to enable the Admin Temp Sensor Reporting permission for the role.
- Temperature reporting is available for supported smart coolers that are actively sending temperature data.
Process
Open the Temperature Sensor Report
- Sign in to ADM.
- Navigate to Admin > Temp Reporting.
- The Temperature Sensor Reporting page opens and displays one row for each supported device.
- The Temperature Sensor Reporting page opens and displays one row for each supported device.
Review the Device List
- The report displays information such as:
- Location Name: the location assigned to the device.
- Device Name: the name of the cooler.
- Pico Device Type: the configured device type.
- Current HSA: whether the device is currently locked or unlocked.
-
Last Temp Reading: the latest reported temperature, reading time, and cabinet.
- The list is sorted by Location Name. Select the Location Name column heading to change the sort order, if needed.
- The Reset HSA action button will only appear if both the Org and Device have the Remote HSA Reset configuration enabled.
- The Reset HSA action button will only appear if both the Org and Device have the Remote HSA Reset configuration enabled.
Run the Report
- Find the Location and Device to be reviewed.
- Select the plus (+) icon beside the device.
- The device row expands to display its temperature history. Opening another device automatically closes the previously expanded row.
- The device row expands to display its temperature history. Opening another device automatically closes the previously expanded row.
- Select the reporting period from the date range control.
- The report refreshes automatically when the range is changed; there is no need to reload the page.
- The report refreshes automatically when the range is changed; there is no need to reload the page.
- Review the chart and average-temperature values.
- For devices with multiple cabinets, the chart displays a separate temperature line for each cabinet.
- Hover over a point on the chart to see the exact temperature and the date and time of the reading. When applicable, markers on the chart identify HSA reset events so reset activity can be compared with temperature changes.
Export the Report
To download the currently-displayed temperature history as a CSV file:
- Expand the device that is to be reported on.
- Select the appropriate date range.
- Select Export CSV.
- Open or save the downloaded file.
The filename uses the following format: {device-ID}-temperature-history.csv
The exported file includes:
- Location Name
- Device Name
- Pico Device Type
- Cabinet
- Temperature
- Date/Time
The export uses the date range currently selected in ADM and includes every available reading during that period. For devices with multiple cabinets, readings for each cabinet are included.
Understanding the Report
Temperature readings are typically registered approximately every five minutes. Short gaps can occur if a device temporarily loses connectivity or cannot send a reading.
Use the report to:
- compare temperature performance across individual cabinets.
- identify consistently warm or unusual readings.
- review average temperature over the selected period.
- compare temperature changes with HSA reset events.
- download historical readings for analysis or recordkeeping.
The report supports up to 90 days of available temperature history.
Temperature data should be considered alongside the organization’s established food-safety procedures. Follow the normal escalation process whenever a temperature reading falls outside the acceptable range for the stored products.
Troubleshooting
Below are issues that may occur along with troubleshooting steps to resolve.
Temp Reporting is Not Displayed
The account role may not have the required permission. Ask the ADM administrator to enable Admin Temp Sensor Reporting access.
The feature may also need to be enabled for the organization.
A Cooler is Not Listed
Confirm that:
- the cooler is a supported device type.
- the device is assigned to the correct organization and location.
- the device is online and sending temperature readings.
Recently installed or reconnected devices may not appear until their first temperature reading is received.
No Historical Data Appears
Try selecting a shorter date range. Missing readings may indicate that the device was offline or was not sending temperature information during the selected period.
The CSV File Contains No Data
Confirm that the expanded device chart contains readings for the selected date range. Change the date range and export the file again.
The Latest Reading Appears Old
The device may be offline or temporarily unable to report. Check the device’s connectivity and current operational status.
If the report remains unavailable or its readings do not match the physical cooler, contact 365 Support.
Include the organization, location, device name, selected date range, and a screenshot of the report.
