This article goes over the device asset number and substitution integration between LightSpeed and Parlevel VMS.
 

Process

Device Asset Number Integration

Parlevel VMS now sends device asset numbers directly to LightSpeed. This allows asset numbers to show up directly on LightSpeed print tickets. If the asset numbers are not showing up, please reach out to make sure the print tickets are configured correctly on the LightSpeed side.
 

Substitution Integration

LightSpeed now pushes substitutions to the Parlevel VMS. So if during the pick process (LightSpeed), someone makes a change (or substitution), that is going to be passed down to the Parlevel VMS. When a substitution is made, it's going to come across as a permanent change to the product that they're pushing to the machine.

The customer can also change products substituted in LightSpeed on an OCS order, so if a change is made to a product on an OCS order, Parlevel will check when they receive that change, and validate it against the price tier. If that product that was changed is not in the price tier, Parlevel will not process the product change, and just reject it accordingly.
