Purpose
This article outlines the new integration of AVLive device health and connectivity data into Parlevel VMS.
Process
Operators can now view AVLive device health and connectivity data directly within VMS. Previously this level of detail only existed for Parlevel devices. This removes the need to switch between VMS and AVLive systems to check signal strength, online status, etc.
VMS will now distinguish between devices being offline and devices that have failed to DEX properly.
Open the All Machines grid to see AVLive signal strength and connectivity status. Messages come over in a 5 minute cycle.
Statuses
No Telemetry Connectivity
What it means:
No data has been received from the device yet.
What to check:
- Device may not be reporting
- Device could be newly added or not yet connected
Offline
What it means:
The device has reported in, but its current status is offline.
What to check:
- Device power
- Network connection
- Physical connectivity
Online
What it means:
The device is connected and actively communicating and no action needed unless issues are reported. The Signal column displays signal strength for online devices.
