Updated

Purpose

This article goes over how to create and configure a patient profile within a bed prior to placing an order within the 365 Kitchen Management Electronic Patient Meal Ordering (ePMO) software.

Process

Only Business Admin and Clinician Host users have permission to access and edit patient profile information. A patient profile needs to be set up prior to any ordering taking place.

Clicking on an empty bed in an ward allows for a patient profile to be configured for that bed.

Kafoodle - ePMO Profile Setup and Food Allergies

A new patient profile has the possibility of several sections to fill out. Which of these sections that shows when creating a new patient is customizable in the 365 Kitchen Management module.

Patient Identifiers

The system supports the following identifiers:

  • Initials
  • First name
  • Last name
  • ID

Available fields are configurable in the administration module.

Allergens

Allergens can be assigned to the patient profile. Displayed allergens are based on regional legislation.

This module is supported in the following regions:

  • United Kingdom
  • European Union
  • Australia
  • New Zealand

Conditional Fields

Dietary preferences, conditions, and nutritional preferences are populated from recipe tags configured within the Kitchen Management module. Only tags in use within the system are available.

These can include tags for things like high in fibre, IDDSI levels, suitable for vegetarian, etc.

Patient Details

The patient details field allows for setting specific settings like Nil By Mouth (NBM) or adding patient notes.
