Purpose
The purpose of this article is to outline the Camera Waste feature of the Parlevel Stock App, which allows Users to scan product barcodes and record waste amounts for individual products and products as part of a Product Bundle. Camera function has two modes:
- Find Product mode - (Default) The camera scan frame is blue and will open into a product's Slot or product's Product Bundle when scanning the barcode.
- Quick Waste mode - The camera scan frame is orange. Scanning an item will open a direct wastage modal inside the camera frame.
Process
- On the main Inventory view screen, tap the Camera icon in the top left.
Use the tabs at the top to select either 'Find Product' or 'Quick Waste' mode.
- Scan a product barcode in 'Quick Waste' mode to open up the quick waste modal.
- If the product is part of a Product Bundle, a broken link icon will show under the product name. This waste is recorded per product, not tied to bundle quantity.
- Please Note: Each product in a bundle will track its own Expired, Damaged, Lost, and Refunded values.

- If the product is a standalone product, a connected link icon will show under the product name. This waste is directly linked to the product's quantity.
- If the product is part of a Product Bundle, a broken link icon will show under the product name. This waste is recorded per product, not tied to bundle quantity.
- If an unrecognized barcode is scanned, and error message will display.
- In 'Quick Waste' mode, the error message will state: "Waste mode is not supported for the product".
- In 'Quick Waste' mode, the error message will state: "Waste mode is not supported for the product".
- Click 'Save Waste' on the quick waste modal to save changes and update waste values.
