Purpose
The purpose of this article is to inform about the option of changing an equipment item’s category on the existing Equipment Edit screen. This is useful when teams move equipment between OCS and Micro Market setups, as this will not deleting records, including its history and linked service repair tickets.
- Please Note: A User must have 'Manager' or 'Route Manager' role permissions to be able to change equipment category fields.
Overview
- On the Edit Equipment page, if the logged in account has the needed account permissions, use the 'Equipment Category' dropdown to modify the Equip type.
- After selecting an Equipment Type to change, a pop-up will generate to ask for confirmation.
- Click 'Confirm' to continue. Once you have confirmed, changing the equipment type will change the Market Asset/OCS Station dropdown.
- After fully configuring your change, click 'Save changes' in the bottom right.
- Click 'Confirm' to continue. Once you have confirmed, changing the equipment type will change the Market Asset/OCS Station dropdown.
