What is a "HSA Lockout"?
When the temperature of a cooler exceeds a certain temperature for 30 minutes, the cooler locks to prevent your customers from purchasing and consuming any of the cooler’s contents that might have spoiled.
This NAMA standard was introduced to ensure that as an operator, you have a failsafe to protect your customers. The expectation is that your employee travels on-site, inspects the cooler’s contents, discards spoiled products, and then resets the HSA lockout.
What can I do if I do not stock any perishable products?
Several operators do not stock any spoilable items in their coolers. If you’re one of them, an HSA lockout of your cooler is a loss of sales to you, and an inconvenience to your drivers and customers.
365 now offers you an option to opt-into a remote reset HSA feature on supported devices*. Once enabled, you will be able to remotely reset an HSA lockout via ADM.
In addition, Drivers can reset the HSA alarm from the Pico’s Driver Menu when on-site.
- An Opt-in is not required to use the PICO on-site for HSA reset.
Please Note: The Reset button in ADM is only enabled if the cooler is actively in a HSA lockout. Similarly, the PICO Driver menu will only show the “Reset HSA lockout” button if the cooler is in HSA.
ADM Steps to Reset HSA
- When your device is locked out, you will receive an email notification alert.
- Navigate to the Org > Location > Device Summary page in ADM.
-
If you have opted-in to remote reset, and your device is supported, and if the device is currently in HSA lockout, you will see the option to ‘Reset HSA lockout’.
- Pressing the button will reset the lockout in a few minutes.
On-screen Pico Reset HSA
- Tap 5 times in the top-left corner.
- Enter the PIN to log into the driver menu.
- If your device is supported, and if the device is currently in HSA lockout, you will see the option to ‘Reset HSA Lockout’ which immediately resets the lockout when pressed.
How to Opt-in?
As an operator, you will be ultimately responsible for the contents in the cooler. We strongly recommend that you do not remotely reset HSA alarm if your cooler stocks spoilable items.
Follow this procedure to opt in:
- Email 365vision@365rm.com to request a consent form.
- Return the completed form to the same email address.
- Your request will be processed to enable remote HSA resets for all locations in your org.
