Purpose
This article outlines the process to follow when replacing the camera or camera cables inside of a 4 camera PicoCooler Vision device.
Process
Replacing the Cameras
- Put the Cooler into Restock Mode on the Pico.
- Remove the two screws holding the bracket in place.
- Remove the the silver screws from the plastic case surrounding the camera. Do not remove the screws from the metal bracket itself.
- Slide the top cover off but leave it attached to the cable.
- Unclip the cable and wiggle it left and right until it comes off.
- Remove the two screws holding the camera bracket onto the lower cover. Ensure to check if the current cable is attached properly and retest to see if the original camera will work.
- Remove the four screws holding the camera on the metal bracket.
- Place that bracket on the new camera with connection side up.
- Follow instructions in reverse order to reinstall bracket and screws.
Replacing the Cable
If the camera cable needs to be replaced, the DueNorth (Minus Forty) cabinet has the cables clipped to the side of the cabinet. This makes removing the cable from the cooler more efficient.
Remove the HVAC putty from the inside and back of the cabinet to remove the cable fully.
Ensure to use new HVAC putty when replacing the cable.
