Purpose
The purpose of this article is to outline the process for replacing and installing Stockwell 2.0 PC (CPU) components after an RMA for the CPU has occurred.
Process
Locate the front panel locking screws. Under the middle support leg (near the manual light switches and lock) look for the 2 small black Philips head screws. Remove these screws.
- Grab the bottom of the front panel and pull slightly away (A few inches, the panel must clear the base) from the main unit, then pull the panel downward about an inch to unhook the panel. Now the panel should be able to be fully removed from the device.
- To gain access to the PC, remove the two screws at the top and bottom of the PC chassis.
- Pull the PC chassis out along the railed track. Find and view the USB port connections for the cameras, the Ethernet ports, and the PC power cable connection.
If unfamiliar with general PC connections and setup, taking a picture of the existing connections can help with later reassembly.
- Unplug all connections from the current PC.
- On the PC chassis rails, locate the two screws at the top and bottom holding the PC/CPU to the rails. Remove the bottom rail screw, then the top rail screws. See picture for top rail screws, bottom rail will have screws in a similar location:
- With the top and bottom rail screws removed, switch out the old PC/CPU with the new component. For the new PC, screw in the top rail screws first, then the bottom.
- Once the new PC is secured on the rails, reconnect all connections to the New PC.
- Reconnect the power connection to the new PC only after all other connections are in place.
- Reconnect the power connection to the new PC only after all other connections are in place.
- Confirm the PC/CPU is lighting up and connections are seated. Allow 10 minutes for the PC to fully startup before attempting a test transaction.
- Once a test transaction has been confirmed, slide the PC chassis back into of the device along its track. Reinstall the two screws at the top and bottom of the chassis that hold the rail in place.
- To re-secure the center panel, locate the camera bracket near the top of the opening. The top of this bracket holds the front panel, and it is circled in red in the image below. There is a slit in the top of the front panel that goes into the bracket hook.
- Line up the front panel in position, then place the grate at the top of the front panel just above the camera but below the folder over the hook. Push up and in gently on the front panel, and it will slide up and into the top of the bracket.

- Push the bottom of the panel into the unit, then reattach the screws into the base of the device.
