Cashier Service - How to Create and Use Employee Comp Discounts

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to outline how to set up and use Employee Comp Discounts. Please note: Employee Comp Discounts can only be used in Cashier Service Mode. All Employee Comp transactions must be handled by a Cashier.

 

Employee Types

You can create employee comp discounts for transactions for the following types of staff members:

  • Cashiers
  • Managers
  • Food Service Employees
  • Employee (Badge)

A staff account must be created for each employee to receive the comp meal discount. For instructions on creating a Staff account, please see the ADM - How to Create a Staff Account article.
 

Using the Employee Comp Discount

Employee comp discounts can be used only in Cashier service mode.

1. Employees should:

  • Put their products in the cart.
     
  • Go to the Payment screen.

2. The cashier should:

  • Choose the Credit/Debit (Cashless) tab for the payment choice on the Payment screen.
     
  • Click the Unlock Discount button in the bottom left.

  • Scan or swipe the badge.

  • Follow the steps to complete the transaction.
