Purpose

This article explains how to add weight amounts to Global Products listed in ADM. This will allow your customers to weigh an item before purchasing it, using one of the Scales and Weighing Devices associated with your device. 

If the Product is in the Database

1. Click the Product tab in ADM.
   
   
2. Select Global Products from the drop-down menu.
   
   
3. Find the product using the Search field.
   
   
4. Click on the product to select it. The Product Summary page for that product will display.
   
   
   
5. Choose EACH or POUND in the Unit Of Measure field on the right side.
   
   
6. Choose YES in the Weigh field.
   
   
7. Add the tare weight of your container. The unit of measure is set to Pound. Enter the weight in decimal, converted from ounces to pounds.
   
   • Please note that the Tare weight cannot go beyond one decimal place (e.g., 1.8). Entering an amount with more than one decimal place will cause issues with the kiosk properly reading the weight.
8. Click Save at the bottom left of the page. The Global Products page will display again.
   
   
9. You will now update the location information to ensure that your changes are available. To do this, click the Location tab in ADM.
   
   
10. Choose your location.
    
    
11. Scroll down and click the Update Prices button to make your changes immediately available on the kiosk.
    

If the Product is NOT in the Database

1. Click the Product tab in ADM.
   
   
2. Select Global Products from the drop-down menu.
   
   
3. Click the Create New button on the right side of the page.
   
   
4. Complete the following fields:
   • Name
   • Short Name
   • Category 1
   • Scancode
   • Price 
     
     
     
5. Follow the steps in the If the Product is in the Database section above.
