Purpose

This article overviews how to set up Close Commercials in ADM.
 

About Close Commercials

• The Close Commercial feature is only available in Dining kiosks with a Self Service Menu.
   
• The Close Commercial will display during the time before and after the menu times, indicated in the Menu Service times.
   
• The Home Commercials will scroll, but when the screen is touched during the closed times, the Closed Commercial message will display.
  • If a consumer touches the screen when the Close Commercial is displayed, nothing will happen.
     
  • Only the bottom Admin Access (gear icon) is accessible. It requires a manger password like normal operation.
     
• When the Menu Service times are reached, the normal commercials will begin to display.
   
• More than one Close Commercial can be added, and they will rotate like normal commercials.
   
• New commercials are synced nightly, at midnight. To display a new commercial the same day, please issue a manual Full Sync from the Location Summary page in ADM.

Process

Close commercials display during the time slot when there is no active menu.
To adjust the menu service times, if needed, follow the steps in the Adjusting Menu Service Time section below.

Once the menu service times are set as desired, simply follow the steps in the Add a New Close Commercial section below to add a new Close Commercial.
 

Adjust Menu Service Time

1. In ADM, click the Menu tab at the top of the page.
   
   
2. Select Self Service from the drop-down menu. The Self Service Menu List screen will display.
   
   
3. Click on a Location in the Location column. That Location’s Self Service Menu screen will display.
   
   
4. Click in any of the Start or End fields to change the time.
   
   Note: The time format is a 24-Hour clock.
   
    
5. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
    

Add a New Close Commercial

1. Log in to ADM.
    
2. Click the Location tab in the Navigation Bar at the top of the page.
    
3. Click on the desired location in the Location Name column. The Location Summary screen for that location will display.
    
4. Scroll down to the Show Kitchen Close field and select Yes from the dropdown, then click the Save button at the bottom.
   
5. Go back to the location's Location Summary page.
    
6. Scroll down to the bottom of screen. The Devices tab is selected by default.
    
7. Click the Close Commercial tab. Any existing Close Commercials will display in the grid.
   
   
8. Click the Add Close Commercial button on the left. The following popup window will display with Choose Existing selected by default.
   
   
9. Click on an image to select it for the new commercial. The following popup will display.
   
   Note: The image size is 1024x768 pixels.
   
   
10. Give the Close Commercial button a name.
     
11. Click Add. The top of the Location Summary page will display.
     
12. Scroll down to the Close Commercial tab. The new Close Commercial will display in the grid.
     

Add a New Image

1. Upload the desired image to your computer, save it as a .jpeg or a .png file, and remember where you saved it.
    
2. Click the Location tab in the Navigation Bar. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
    
3. Click the Close Commercial tab.
   
   
4. Click the Add Close Commercial button on the left. The following popup window will display with Choose Existing selected by default.
   
   
5. Click Upload New. The following popup window will display:
   
   
6. Click the green Upload new image button. File Explorer will display.
    
7. Find the image that was uploaded in step 10 and click Open. The following popup will display.
   Note: The image size is 1024x768 pixels.
   
   
8. Give your Close Commercial button a name. This will be the name of the image (for your use).
    
9. Click Add. The top of the Location Summary page will display.
    
10. Scroll down to the Close Commercial tab. The new Close Commercial will display in the grid.
     
11. Click Save.
     

Remove a Close Commercial

1. Click the Close Commercial tab.
    
2. Click on the name of the Close Commercial in the Name column of the grid. The following popup window will display:
   
   
3. Select Remove. The top of the Location Summary screen will display again.
   As seen by scrolling down to the Close Commercial tab, the Close Commercial that was removed will no longer be displayed in the grid.
