ADM - Global Products - Enabling and Disabling Products

Purpose

This article explains how to enable or disable a global product in ADM. The article then covers how to filter products by this status. 

 

Enabling/Disabling a Product

  1. Log into ADM

  2. Select the Product tab from the main menu, then select Global Product from the resulting drop-down menu.

  3. The Global Product List will now display. Select the product you would like to change by clicking on the name of the product. If your list of products is long, you can use the Search field in the top-right corner.

  4. The Product Summary Page will now display for that product. Change the Is Disabled field to Yes or No accordingly.

    • Note: If the product is still in the inventory of one of your locations, it cannot be disabled. Once you have removed it from the inventory of all locations, you will be able to disable it. Learn about inventory management by visiting the ADM - Maintaining Accurate Inventory article.

      An error message in ADM that reads 'There is at least one location has this product in inventory. Please remove it from inventory before disabiling it.'
  5. Once you have made your changes, select the Save and Update Location button in the bottom-left corner of the screen. This will immediately push your changes to your kiosks.

 

Filtering By Enabled or Disabled Products

  1. Navigate to the Global Products List as you did before by selecting Product from the main menu, then selecting Global Products from the resulting drop-down menu. 

  2. Once on the Global Products List, select the Enabled filter at the top of the Enabled column all the way to the right of the list. Selecting the True icon shows Enabled products only. Selecting False shows Disabled products only. 

 

Note: If you are attempting to add a new product and have received a scan code error, that means a product already exists with that scan code. It is possible that the product is already in your Global Products, but has simply been disabled. Enable this product to use it at your locations.
