Purpose
The purpose of this article is to outline the steps to add stock locations to ingredients and recipes
within the Kitchen Management System for Kafoodle services.
- Please Note: This process requires account permissions of at least a Business Group Administrator account. Please confirm your account permissions before beginning.
Process
- Log into the Kitchen Management System and click the Home button.
- Review the existing Stock Location settings configured by the client or onboarding team.
- Use the +Add location button to add Stock Locations.
- There is no limit to the number of Locations you can add this way.
- Click the blue checkmark Save button to save changes.
- Navigate to the Ingredient you wish to add a Stock Location for. Click Ingredients, then the ingredient you wish to edit, then add or change the Stock Location.
- Navigate to the Recipe you wish to add a Stock Location for.
- Click the blue Edit button, then change Stock Location using the drop down menu.
- If you encounter a validation error, check if the ingredients in the recipe are
shared with the current site.

- Click the blue Edit button, then change Stock Location using the drop down menu.
- To edit multiple selections in bulk for Stock Location, Export the items to change in a .csv file.
- Select the 'From source' and 'Re-use settings' fields to limit your export to only the Recipes or Ingredients you wish to bulk change, then click Export.
- Open the .csv file and input your Stock Location in the array in the exact text as shown in the software. (Reminder: this input is case sensitive; "Walk In fridge")
- The default number of columns for the array is 5. If the KMS has made custom additional columns, these must match based on your system.
- Save your changes to the .csv file.
- Next, select Import from the top dropdown selector.
- Choose the .csv file for import using the "Choose File" button. Select the "Import to" location to match the list you want to import to.
- Once the Import is complete, open Advanced Settings and adjust header rows to start from row 1 and data rows from row 2.
- Select Apply Configuration.
- Use the button Dummy run to test run the import if desired. Use the button Run the full import to start the Import when ready.
