Purpose
This article overviews how to set nutritional and cost targets, as well as consumed and produced servings.
Process
Nutrition and Cost Targets
Nutrition and Cost targets can be set from the Edit Meal Plan page, when creating or editing a meal plan.
If on the Meal Planning Dashboard, make sure you have the desired meal plan selected, and click the Edit meal plan button in the bottom-right of the Dashboard to reach the Edit Meal Plan page.
Set Nutrition Targets
- Click the Nutrition widget towards the bottom of the Edit Meal Plan page.
- Click the Edit targets button to open a window, where you can change and set the sliders/checkboxes to the desired selections.
Note: The Key Target and Enabled checkboxes sets the traffic light colors in and around the dials. - Once finished, click the Save button to save changes or the Cancel button to not make any changes. Either one will take you back to the Edit Meal page.
Set Cost Targets
- Click the Cost widget towards the bottom of the Edit Meal Plan page.
- Click the Edit targets button to open a window, where you can change and set the costs/checkboxes to the desired selections.
- Once finished, click the Save button to save changes, or the Cancel button to not make any changes. Either one will take you back to the Edit Meal page.
View Cost and Nutrition Targets in the Meal Planning Dashboard
Once the desired Cost and Nutrition targets are in place, click Save as draft at the bottom to save changes without making the meal plan active yet, or click Save and complete to save the meal plan and make it active.
Once the meal plan is saved, it will take you back to the Meal Planning Dashboard with the Nutrition and Cost targets shown under the NUTRITION AND TARGETS and COST sections of the Dashboard respectively.
In these sections, you can click the arrows to navigate through the widget and cycle between Average/Maximum/Minimum, and Full Day/specific meal services (ie. breakfast/lunch/dinner).
Produced and Consumed Servings
To set produced and consumed servings:
- From the Meal Planning Dashboard under the Details section for the highlighted active meal plan, the Produced Servings and Consumed Servings fields will display.
(These are not compulsory fields, but a great way to help kitchens monitor which food or drink items they might be overproducing, and amend accordingly.)
- Produced Servings refers to the number of servings that the kitchen are serving.
- Consumed Servings refer to the number of servings that are consumed (have not come back).
- Produced Servings refers to the number of servings that the kitchen are serving.
- Click on any of the boxes under Produced servings or Consumed servings, to open up a window, which will allow the number of produced or consumed servings to be modified for each item.
- Once the desired number of produced/consumed servings are set, click the Save servings button at the bottom to save changes, or Cancel to not make any changes.
This will take you back to the Meal Planning Dashboard with the set produced and consumed servings reflected.
