Purpose

This article outlines how to set up and configure receipt commercials in ADM.
 

Process

The receipt commercial feature is a unique way to leave a lasting impression on the purchase confirmation screen on the kiosk.

The receipt commercial will be displayed in the top banner section of the purchase confirmation screen and can now be customized to display just about anything at any time. Receipt commercials can be created for every location and organization an Operator has access to.

Setting Up a Receipt Commercial

1. Log in to ADM.
    
2. Navigate to the Location Summary.
    
3. Click the Receipt Commercial tab on the location tab.
    
   
4. Select Add receipt commercial. A modal will appear showing any existing commercials active and/or the ability to upload new commercials.
    
   

5. Select Upload New and a pop-up will appear. Select the green Upload new image button.
   
   

   Important: When uploading a new image, please ensure these specifications are met: 
   
   Image Size: 1080x608 
   Allowed File Types: JPG, PNG 
   File must be less than 2MB
6. Navigate to the folder where the file is saved and select it to upload.
    
7. Select the dates and times for the commercial. This can be set for particular times or particular dates, or the commercial can be set to no end date.
    
   
8. Click Add. If the commercial that was just created does not appear on the list of Home Commercials, select the drop-down beneath the 'Commercial Type' field and select the All option. This will show all receipt commercials created, no matter their status.
    
   
9. Click the red Update Prices & Full Sync button after verifying the commercial is added to push it to the kiosks at the location.
    

Linking Items or Categories

A standout feature of receipt commercials is the ability to link them directly to specific items or categories during setup. 
When a linked item is purchased, its corresponding receipt commercial is automatically displayed on the purchase confirmation screen. This enables Operators to present targeted banners that highlight promotional products, spotlighted items, or active campaigns.

After selecting the dates and times for the commercial during creation, products and categories can then be linked on the same screen.
 

Link to Item

This allows Operators to link the specific receipt commercial to a specific item. When this item is detected in the cart, the purchase confirmation screen will automatically show this banner.

1. Click the item bubble.
    
2. Select Add item. This will display the selection modal.
    
3. Select Item(s) to create a receipt commercial for.
    
   
4. Click Submit. The Add item selection will now be checked.
    
   
5. Click Save.
    
6. Click the red Update Prices & Full Sync button after verifying that the receipt commercial has been added. Important: Multiple items can be selected to link to a single receipt commercial (Many to One).
    

Link to Category

This allows Operators to link the specific receipt commercial to a specific category. When an item within the nominated category is identified in the cart, the purchase confirmation screen will automatically show this banner.
 

1. Click the category bubble.
    
2. Select Add item. This will display the selection modal.
    
3. Select a Category or multiple Categories to create a receipt commercial for.
    
4. Click Submit. The Add item selection will now be checked.
    
5. Click Save.
    
6. Click the red Update Prices & Full Sync button after verifying that the receipt commercial has been added.

If an item is purchased that sits within the category associated to the receipt commercial, the relevant commercial will display on the purchase confirmation screen.
 

Link to All (show with all transactions)

This selection will ensure the receipt commercial is shown with all transactions, no matter what items/categories were in the cart when finalized. 

No setup is needed aside from selecting the appropriate bubble.
 

Kiosk to App Relationship

When kiosk to app is enabled in ADM (See Operator guide here), this will take ultimate priority over receipt commercials.
If  multiple receipt commercials are active and Kiosk to app = Enabled, then the order will be (Example):

• Receipt commercial 1: Default kiosk to app banner.
• Receipt commercial 2: First receipt commercial loaded in location tab.
• Receipt commercial 3: Second receipt commercial loaded in location tab etc.
  
   

Edit a Receipt Commercial

The name, schedule or image for an already created receipt commercial can be edited after creation in ADM.

1. Click on the commercial from the list. A pop-up menu will appear, allowing a preview of the image.
    
2. Select Edit.
    
3. Make any necessary edits to the name, schedule, or image.
    
4. Select Save.
    

Create New Receipt Commercial from Existing Image

If an image already exists in ADM, a new receipt commercial can be created for it. 

1. Navigate to the Location Summary page.
    
2. Select the Receipt Commercial. 
    
3. Select the Commercial Type to match the appropriate screen size.
    
4. Select the blue Add Receipt Commercial button. A pop-up window will appear. 
    
5. Select the checkbox next to one or multiple of the images on the Choose Existing tab. These are images that have been previously used for Receipt Commercials. This will create a new Receipt Commercial for each image chosen.
    
   
6. Select Next. 
    
7. Set the schedule for all of the new receipt commercials at the same time.
    

Remove a Receipt Commercial

An active Receipt Commercial can be removed at any time from ADM.

1. Navigate to the Location Summary page.
    
2. Choose the name of the Receipt Commercial that is set for removal.
    
3. Select Remove.
    

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can create, edit, and remove receipt commercials?

Operators for Orgs and Locations in ADM can create, edit, and remove receipt commercials.

If I have multiple receipt commercials how are these ordered?

Receipt commercials will play in the order they were added, from first to last, honoring each commercial’s set duration. 
The only exception is when Kiosk-to-App engagement is enabled; in that case, the engagement content takes first priority, followed by the standard order.

Can I setup a receipt commercial for items and categories?

Yes. You can link the receipt commercial to a specific item(s) or category, enabling relevant and dynamic receipt commercial opportunities.

Are there specifications I need to meet with my image upload?

Yes, please follow the below specs so the receipt commercial displays correctly:
Image Size: 1080x608
Allowed File Types: JPG, PNG
File must be less than 2MB

Can a receipt commercial be turned off before its end date?

Yes, to do so, follow the steps in the View/Edit Promotions section of this guide.
