MM6 Mini - ADA Nav Bar Installation Guide

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to outline the steps to install an ADA Nav Bar on a MM6 Mini device for Dining purposes. 

Required Items:

  • Nav Bar mounted to bracket (included in the kit)
  • USB C to Mini B cable (included in the kit)
  • Phillips head screwdriver

Process

  1. Disconnect the Kiosk from power.

  2. Open the kiosk and plug the USB C side of the USB C to Mini B cable into the open USB C port on the door (on the back of the monitor). The open USB C port is next to the hinge, about halfway up the door.

  3. Insert the USB Mini B side of the cable into the open port in the bottom of the kiosk shell and slide it through the base of the kiosk, having the cable leave the shell on the left hand side (when looking at the front of the kiosk).
  4. Loosen both screws at the bottom of the kiosk shell (inside) connecting to the base 3-4 turns.

  5. Plug the USB Mini B end of the cable into the back of the Nav Bar.

  6. Slide the Nav Bar mount bracket tab between the kiosk shell and base, engaging the U slots onto the screws mounting the shell to the base (screws loosened for space in step 4).
  7. Retighten both of the Kiosk shell mounting screws.

  8. Pull up any slack in the cable and neatly bundle it in the base of the kiosk.

  9. Close the Kiosk door and power the Kiosk back up. Installation is complete.
