Purpose

The gift pass feature allows Operators to create a gift pass record in ADM, and then share that with end consumers.

Once a consumer has a gift pass in their possession, they can use it as a one-time spending pass to make purchases on a kiosk or other device, or they can use them to fund an existing GMA account.

Where are Gift Passes created from?

Gift passes are created in ADM. Navigate to the Admin dropdown, go to the Consumer Engagement option, and expand the Gift Pass section. Follow the on-screen prompts to create and issue your Gift Pass records.

How can I customize a Gift Pass?

Gift Passes can be customized when creating the record within ADM. You can choose from a few layout and size options, and optionally add an image to theme each record.

What happens if a Gift Pass is unused?

When creating a Gift Pass in ADM an expiration date can be set. If the Gift Pass has not been used when this expiration date occurs, the Gift Pass will expire and funds will be credited back to the operator.

Can Gift Passes be used on multiple transactions?

Yes, consumers can use their Gift Pass on multiple transactions, up until the full value of that Gift Pass has been utilized.

How can I get a Gift Pass to my consumers?

Gift passes can be directly emailed to consumers, or they can be physically printed off and handed to them.

How does a consumer use a Gift Pass at a kiosk?

Consumers will scan the associated QR code from the Gift Pass to have that value apply to their transaction.

What if my Gift Pass does not cover the total amount due?

Consumers can pay the remaining balance due with a credit card associated with the transaction. This means that consumers do not need to have enough funds on the Gift Pass to complete the transaction, as they can use an additional payment method to complete the sale.

Can Gift Passes be used on computer vision devices?

Yes, Gift Passes can be used on computer vision devices. Consumers will first scan their Gift Pass to begin the transaction, and they will then be prompted to associate a credit card to cover the pre-auth amount, which will cover the total amount of the sale.

Can a GMA be associated with a Gift Pass transaction on computer vision devices?

No, a GMA cannot be associated with a single Gift Pass transaction at this time on computer vision devices. Consumers must use a Credit Card in conjunction with their Gift Pass.

Can consumers fund their GMA balance with a Gift Pass?

Consumers can fund their GMA balance with a Gift Pass from the MicroMarket or from the 365Pay app. Consumers cannot fund their account from a computer vision device however.

How do Operators get paid for Gift Pass sales?

Transactions completed with a Gift Pass are disbursed back to the Operator on their EFT Disbursement as an Account Sale.

How do you consumers check the remaining balance of a Gift Pass?

To view the remaining balance of a Gift Pass, consumers will need to request a receipt. The remaining balance will be shown on the receipt.
