Purpose
The Loss Prevention Report in ADM is designed to help operators identify and prevent theft at self-checkout kiosks by providing detailed transaction-level insights. It tracks both “under-ringing” (when items are not scanned) and “removed items” (when items are cancelled or removed from a transaction before completion). This enables operators to analyze suspicious activity and take action to reduce shrinkage and loss.
Report Description
The Loss Prevention Report provides detailed, transaction-level insights by tracking two primary types of loss events.
- Under-Ringing: Incidents where items are not scanned by the customer but are detected by the MarketSight system (using computer vision or other monitoring methods).
- Removed/Cancelled Items: Incidents where items are cancelled or removed from a transaction before completion, or where entire transactions are cancelled.

Report Details
Line item per transaction: Each row represents a transaction where items were removed or under-ringing was detected.
- Location Name - name of the location the transaction occurred.
- Device Name - the device name the transaction occurred on.
- Incident Type - cancelled item or removed item.
- Date/Time - the date and time of the transaction.
- Transaction ID - the transaction ID.
- Product Name (comma-separated if multiple) - the short name of the product.
- UPC (comma-separated if multiple) - the UPC of the product.
- Product Price - the price of the product.
- Product Cost - the cost of the product.
