Purpose

This article outlines the analytics report that shows an overview of the return on investment (ROI) grouped by point of sale asset. This report will show collected amounts, total cost of product sold, theoretical ROI, real ROI, etc.
 

Process

  1. Log into the Organization's VMS.
     
  2. Navigate to Analytics.
     
  3. Select Vending Financial.
     
  4. Select ROI by Machine.
     
  5. Select desired date range.
     
  6. Press the green play button to pull the report.

Table Columns

Each row in the table is a separate point of sale asset.

VMS - ROI

  • Asset: A unique, customizable ID assigned to the asset.
     
  • Route: The asset's assigned Route.
     
  • Account: The asset's assigned Account.
     
  • Location: The asset's assigned Location.
     
  • Machine: Asset name.
     
  • Device: The asset's connected Device ID (serial number).
     
  • Bottler No: A customizable ID assigned to the asset ('N/A' if unassigned).
     
  • Type: Asset type.
     
  • Total Sales: The total value of products sold within the set date range.
     
  • Total Collected: The total cash and cashless sales collected within the set date range. Cashless sales are "collected" from service during Route Consolidation.
     
  • Total Cost of Product Sold: Total cost of all products sold.
     
  • Theoretical Profit: The calculated profit from sales reported after subtracting the Total Cost of Product Sold within the time range. 
    Calculation: Total Sales - Total Cost of Product Sold.
     
  • Profit: The calculated profit from cash and cashless sales collected within the date range. 
    Calculation: Total Collected - Total Cost of Product Sold.
     
  • Margin / Cost: The asset's calculated gross profit as a percentage of Total Product Cost. 
    Calculation: (Total Collected - Total Cost of Product) ÷ Total Cost of Product * 100
     
  • Gross Margin %: The asset's gross profit margin calculated as a percentage of Total Collected. 
    Calculation: (Total Collected - Total Cost of Product) ÷ Total Collected * 100
