Purpose

This article outlines the process for installing the MarketSight bespoke camera and housing onto the MM6 Mini.

Process

Hardware

  • MarketSight Arm
  • TPU Accelerator PC
  • x2 Phillips 5/8” screws
  • USB HUB - Only to be used with Monnit Sensor, XP Unit, etc. Do not plug Marketsight Camera or TPU into the hub, Camera and TPU must go directly into the PC.

Tools Needed (not included with MarketSight Kit)

  • 9mm nut driver or pliers
  • Philips head screwdriver

  1. Unlock using the key and T-bar lock.

  2. Open the MM6 mini kiosk by swinging the door open.

  3. Use a wrench or pliers to remove the locknut washers.

  4. Remove the bracket, and keep the two locknut washers as they are needed later.

  8. If there are no USB ports available on the Silent 11m PC, then you can unplug the Temp Sensor Gateway (Brown-colored cable), and plug in a USB-Hub in it’s place. The brown-colored cable will go into the USB-Hub.

  9. Additionally, you can plug a bill-acceptor adapter cable into the USB-Hub (if there is one attached), and that gives you an open port on the PC.

  10. Lastly, to free up a second port on the Silent 11m PC, you can unplug the OTI credit card reader (green-colored cable) or the Castles reader USB cable (green-colored cable) and instead plug them into the USB-Hub. For a MM6-mini PC with a Castles reader, there may not be a green-colored cable, so you don’t need to worry about it.

  11. Next, connect the TPU device to another open USB port on the PC. Do not plug the TPU into the USB hub.

  12. Make sure the webcam is connected into the monitor of the MM6-mini V5 kiosk (it has a grey-colored wire with a USB-C cable and is found when you open up the MM6-mini V5 kiosk).

  13. Make sure the physical MarketSight arm is screwed into the top of the MM6-mini V5 kiosk, but do not plug in the MarketSight arm camera yet.

  14. Confirm the MarketSight arm camera has a USB-A cable.

  15. Power on the kiosk (make sure the MarketSight arm camera is not plugged into the USB-A port on the Silent 11-m PC at this time), or if it is powered on, please reboot the device.

  16. Once the MM6-mini V5 kiosk has booted up to the PoS screen, confirm that the camera feed is visible to you and the kiosk screen shows your face and the surrounding area.
    • If the webcam on the kiosk screen does not show a live feed of the user standing in front of the kiosk, please unplug and replug the webcam into the kiosk monitor (this has the grey-colored wire and is found when you open up the MM6-mini V5 kiosk).
    • If this issue persists, please contact 365 support.

  17. If the webcam does show a live feed of the user in front of the kiosk, you  can plug the MarketSight camera into the Silent 11-m PC (this camera has a USB-A cable). Do not plug any MarketSight cameras into the USB hub. Plug the MarketSight camera cable into one of the PC's USB ports and bundle extra cable neatly underneath the PC.

  18. Assembly complete. Call 365 Support for assistance with ADM updates for the MarketSight Camera.
