Ingredients
Using the ingredients tile on the homepage or the shopping basket icon at the top of the screen will navigate you to the ingredients section of the software.
Once inside ingredients you will see on the left hand side of the screen a filing system called ‘lists’. Usually each supplier will be assigned a separate list so that it is easy to navigate between lists and filter to see items just from a specific supplier.
You can manage (create, edit, delete) your own lists by clicking on the icon Use the new button to create a new list, use the edit pen to edit or use the bin icon to delete.
Ingredient prices can be edited directly in this list. The cost will display ‘unknown’ if it has no price associated. Once selected, enter the price, Quantity and UoM, and select the checkbox to save. To edit the wastage percentage you must edit the ingredient.
If you have had your ingredients imported, or added them manually, you can validate them using the lock icon in controls . Please note, this is not actually locking the ingredient from being able to be edited further, this can be done by checking a box inside the ingredient details which you can see in the image below
Creating a new ingredient manually
Select the icon on the top right of the toolbar to create a new ingredient. A new ingredient form will open in a pop up for you to manually complete.
Note: If the field has red asterisk * this means that it is compulsory and the software will not save if this is left blank. All other fields are optional
Work your way through the fields and tabs to complete the ingredient data.

Costs Tab
From the cost tab you can add the supplier, supplier product code, wastage, TAX rate and any conversions required.
Both mass and volume units of measure (UoM) are pre-defined by the software
Cup = 250ml
tbsp (Tablespoon) = 17.75g/ml
tsp (Teaspoon) = 5.91g/ml
An accurate value for the recipe weight needs to be taken into account for nutrition calculations and so it is important to set up the conversions here first using the Add conversion button.
The conversion tool allows you to specify a weight for units of measure that are not mass or volume. If you add in a conversion that specifies the average weight of the unit ‘clove’ for example, you can then select a quantity of cloves of garlic when creating your recipe and the equivalent weights will be used to calculate nutrition and pricing information.
