Steps to Add Sales Tax Rates for your Property

To create or modify tax rates in ImpulsePoint, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Manage" icon located on the left side of the screen.

  2. Under the "Manage Store" section, choose the "Add / Edit Sales Tax Rates" link.

  3. Click the red "ADD TAX" button to begin.

  4. At the top center of the screen, use the icons to select either "Single Tax" or "Group of Taxes" based on your needs:

    • "Single Tax" separates each tax rate on the receipt.
    • "Group of Taxes" combines multiple tax rates on the receipt.
  5. Complete the required information in the available text fields:

    • Tax Name
    • Tax Rate
  6. Utilize the toggle icons to specify the characteristics of the new tax rate:

    • "Is Default Tax?"
    • "Overwrite all Other Taxes"
    • "Break Taxes In Receipt" (applies to group of taxes)
  7. If the new tax rate is applicable only to a specific Category or Sub Category, use the available text fields to make these selections.

  8. To save your changes, click the red "SAVE" icon.
