Steps to Transfer a Store Product from one Department to another

To initiate a product transfer in ImpulsePoint, follow these straightforward steps:

  1. Begin by selecting the "Sell" icon positioned on the left side of your screen.

  2. Add the desired Store Product to your Shopping Cart for the transfer process. You have several options for doing this:

    • Utilize the handheld scanner at your Front Desk to scan the product's UPC.
    • Take advantage of the Search text field located in the top-right corner of the screen.
    • Explore the Quick Click or No UPC tab(s).
  3. Next, click the "Transfer" icon, located at the bottom left of the screen.

  4. A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to specify the transfer type:

    • TO ANOTHER DEPARTMENT
    • FROM ANOTHER DEPARTMENT
  5. Click on the department icon that corresponds to your transfer, whether it's moving products to or from departments such as Housekeeping, Banquets, and more.

  6. To confirm the transfer, click the red "APPLY" icon.

  7. You can now proceed to complete the sale as you would with any regular transaction.

Please be aware that in order to use this feature, a user with the Manager Role should have already added at least one Department. For instructions on how to add departments, you can refer to our guide: "How to Add a Department."
