Purpose
The purpose of this article is to provide information and overview of proper Organization and Contact practices in Spoonfed Customer Module. Organization Contacts should host individuals or groups under their associated business.
Process
An Organization might indicate a business or group that is catered to.
- For example: ABC Lawyers Inc.
Within ABC Lawyers Inc. there may be multiple employees who place Orders. All Consumers/Employees can all be set up under one Organization, ABC Lawyers Inc., as Contacts.
Each person will have their own payment method and email address for Order Notifications. Since all Employees are all under one Organization, ABC Lawyers Inc., the caterer will understand the group is part of that business.
A Contacts tab for an Organization might look like this:
Each person has their own email address for Order updates, payment information, and login credentials to order online.
When Setting Up Multiple Contacts is Beneficial
- When an Order is placed, the Order confirmation email and subsequent updates are sent to the Contact email address and the Organization email address.
- Each Contact has their own login, password, and profile to place orders online.
- The business knows which Contact placed each Order. This helps with organization and accountability to track who orders what within the company. As a caterer, you know the direct contact to get in touch with for any questions or payment info.
