Splitting Credit Card Payments

Follow the steps below to learn how to take a partial payment OR payment split between two or more credit cards.

Watch the following video for a visual step-by-step instruction:

1. Find the Order Discount box

2. Type in a percentage discount (50% is the most common to split an order)

3. Save your Changes. Do not Confirm the Order.

4. Double-check to see your new total that is 50% of the original order.
   ​Note: Service Charges are not discounted, and may need to be manually edited.

   

5. Collect payment from FIRST credit card, your Order should reflect $0 Amount Due.

   

6. Remove the 50% charge from the Order Discount box

7. Save your Changes. Do not Confirm the Order.

8. On the Order Details Page, you’ll see the payment status to show Part Paid with the amount remaining due.

   

9. The order total will show a remaining Amount Due.
   ​Note: You can choose to charge a SECOND credit card OR take the remainder of the payment on a different date.
