Purpose
This article shows customers how to filter their menu options by dietary preference and allergens.
Process
This feature must be enabled by a Customer Success Specialist.
When viewing the menus online, there is a filter tool located on the right side of the screen. Clicking the filter tool reveals the two filter options:
Dietary and Allergens.
Customers are able to utilize both filters at the same time to narrow down their preferences.
Filter By Dietary Preference
- Choosing this filter will allow the customer to view menus that contain items tagged with one or multiple dietary labels.
- The customer is able to select more than one label.
- Choosing multiple labels will only show items that contain all the tags.
Filter By Allergens
- Choosing this filter allows the customer to choose allergens they want excluded from their menu choices.
- Just as with the dietary preferences, customer can choose multiple allergens they want excluded.
Viewing Menus After Selections Have Been Applied
After clicking Apply, customers can navigate through menu categories where they might see menus appear in two forms:
grayed out menus and normal appearing menus.
Grayed Out Menus
Grayed out menus show if the item labels do not contain their filter preferences.
Normal Appearing Menus
Normal appearing menus contain items that meet their filter preferences.
Note: The caterer will need to thoroughly label their food items for customers to obtain the most accurate dietary information when viewing menus and using this filter tool.
