365 Dining - Grouped QR Scan - Operator Guide
Updated

Purpose

This article outlines the Grouped QR Scan dining feature for Operators.

Process

Operators can create their own QR Code to ring up multiple items in one swift motion versus repeatedly ringing up items for customers.

These are listed as Modifications but not to be confused with Modifiers for products on a menu.

The feature will need to be enabled in ADM before being able to be used. This feature is not turned on per location but rather per device.

Request This Feature

This feature is not turned on by default. Please contact 365Support via live chat, at (888) 365-6282 or support@365rm.com to have this feature enabled.

How Does It Work?

Grouped QR code scanning will help move along customers who are getting a popular bundle or items that don’t have a physical barcode but are in the ADM Product list.

For example, if there is always going to be a bundle of chips and drink to make a meal, instead of scanning those items separately, a QR code with the scancodes listed could be scanned. That would give the staff on site the ability to ring up the chips and drink combination quickly.

If a scancode added to a QR code does not match any products in the location's Global Product List, the product will be skipped and the next scan code will be checked.

Creating a QR Code

  • Use a suitable QR Code generating 3rd party software.
  • Please ensure when making a QR Code, that products are separated with a semicolon but no spaces in-between.
  • The first scancode will be treated as the first product added to the cart, the second scancode will be treated as the second product added to the cart, etc.
  • There can be between 1 and 13 scancodes on a single QR code. This is determined by the Organization.

Example

In this example the QR code generated will read a scancode list of 3 items.
